A wild sour, lightly hopped and fermented with kveik cultures. Aged in a foeder of our own creation utilizing both French (wine) and American (whiskey) oak.

Initially it had some foam, I looked away and it was gone. Looks like weak coffee in the glass, very dark reddish-brown.
Aroma is acidic and a little funky, lactic and woody. Smells a little like an Oud Bruin with the roast malt and acid combo.
Taste is sour with lemon and crabapple puckering the cheeks. Some light woodiness and malt presence, very attenuated and a bit thin. Finishes bone dry with little inkling it was ever there. Acid hits the back of the throat and lingers slightly however. Thin and sour, carbonation is there, but seems to be sucked away after hitting the palate.
Overall it's okay but lacks much depth. Overly sour without much oak or structure to balance it out. Also reminds me in some odd way of Jolly Pumpkin's Madrugada Obscura stout.
