Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger dark khaki head that dissipates to a thin film with nice lacing. Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Aroma of dark toasted malt, peanut butter, light chocolate and coffee; peanut butter forward. Flavor follows, with dark toasted malt, peanut butter, bakers chocolate and a hint of coffee; mild peanut butter and bitter chocolate in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A good moderate density peanut butter porter. Excellent peanut in the aroma and in the main part of the taste, but dies out a bit into the finish. Nice base porter with moderate char and good chocolate character. I good example of an uncommon style that I would like to see more of. Wish there was more peanut butter in the finish, but it's an overall quaffable porter.
