A part of our Summer IPA series, commemorating the revitalization of Lake Stevens’ historic North Cove downtown. We endowed this recipe with light to moderate bitterness yet dripping with resinous and citrusy El Dorado and Citra Hops.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and solid lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with a little biscuit, citrus and piney hops, orange, light pine and mixed fruit. Flavor is lightly caramel malt, citrus and piney hops, grapefruit, lemon, faint mixed fruit and a piney finish with good citrus rind and pine bitterness. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A quite nice West Coast style IPA with great citrus and piney character and hints of other fruit and faint dankness. Great piney finish. I got a little more dankness with the pine as I drank this. All the brews I got from Lake Stevens were solid.
