Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 1/30/26.
Appearance: very dark brown hue with not much light let through the body, and a finger of frothy tan foam atop.
Smell: quite sweet with nice notes of chocolate and a bit of an ashy roastiness. I gotta say -- it's pretty good!
Taste: like the aroma, the flavor is quite sweet; the chocolate and roastiness are still there, and nice, and there's a bit of astringent quality to the malt. It's not bad, but it doesn't entirely gel for me.
Mouthfeel: medium-rich body with a decent carbonation and creaminess. It feels like it should be richer, but still, it's not bad.
Overall: a pretty decent milk stout, if not the best thing in the world.
