16oz draft pour into a pint glass shows a dark brown, allowing no light, with virtually no head, just a whispy island and edge-hugging ring with erratic lacing.
Aroma is sweet caramel malt dominant with hints of spice and the flavor matches.
Mouthfeel is full and almost creamy and finishes wet.
Overall it is tasty, but I don't see it fitting the style.

Taste: Smooth dark roasted, smokey malt, coffee, Belgian yeast, some bready notes clean finish. Same with the nose. Black, opaque, with a tan head and nice lattice of lace. Medium body.

Faded brown with a light brown head. Smells very roasted/smoky, concerning, but there is some dark fruit and caramel in there too. Taste still has the roast but better balanced with the dark fruit and caramel, the issue is it finishes weakly. In fact it is watery feeling, very wet for style, smooth but has no definition
