Truly fantastic barrel aged dark sour that pours a deep brown cola color and has aromas reminiscent of a freshly baked cherry pie, cinnamon, vanilla, pastries and cola. This is a beer you could nose all day. Mouthfeel is medium body and carbonation little to non-existent. There is a nice tart cherry taste on the palate, this is not sweet but rich and complex. For a whopping 11.3% abv the alcohol is fairly well integrated. Unfortunately, I also developed heartburn drinking this as the sourness was fairly high. My one gripe: I really wish Sour Cellars would produce these in a size smaller than 750ml. It's a lot to drink in one sitting.

The cherry flavor is vivid and amazing. This sour has a tartness that is pleasant and lingers. This beer hides the 11.3 ABV very well. There is a lot going on in this beer. The complexity of the underlying beer supports the cherry additions. Amazing beer!
