Tasted on tap at the brewery in January ‘23. Described in the beer list as aged for 32 months, total split between an oak wine and rye whiskey/mead barrel with peaches, nectarines, raspberries, and boysenberries. In collaboration with Honey Pot Meadery.
Cool pink color, almost fuchsia; very light haziness. Tiny pink bubbles ring the glass. Deep aroma has light funk, oak and loads of berry and flowers, reminiscent of potpourri. Flavors start out with lemon juice sourness, then fade to mixed berries, but still with the sour backbone. Little to no barnyard flavors. Medium body; light to moderate carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Surprisingly, despite the potpourri description, this was a very nice sour fruited beer with depth.
