I had this on draught in Morristown. It's brewed by a new brewery in Dover at Ramstein in Butler, NJ. It's a really interesting beer: it's a 5.5% APA that looks like a NE IPA an drinks kind of like a West Coast hop bomb. It pours an opaque, turbid brownish-orange color with a thin, ecru-colored head and lacing that persisted through the pour. The nose is rather subdued with pineapple and grapefruit notes but not a lot of hops. The taste opens with citrus but quickly becomes bitter and peppery. There are also earthy leather notes and a hint of tobacco. It's a really interesting taste for an APA. It is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation and has a nice dry, somewhat crisp, mouth feel. With a 5.5% ABV it drinks like an APA but it tastes like an IPA. Overall, this is a nice first effort by a local brewery. It would benefit from more fruit on the nose and in the taste. I'm a life long resident of Morris County and I'm rooting for 2nd Act and look forward to their next offering
