I had this on draught at the Stirling Tavern in Morristown. Served in a pint glass. It pours a crystal clear, golden-straw color with a finger of foamy, bright white head and lacing. Not much on the nose, though. I felt like I had a head cold. Mostly subdued biscuit and grass. The taste features grassy, burnt cracker with just a hint of white wine. The finish is surprisingly bitter with abundant earthly hops. As expected, this Kolsch is light and crisp and the 4.8% ABV is barely noticeable. You can easily drink a few pints. Overall, this is a new beer from a new brewer just starting out, and while it's not especially good it can easily be improved. I'd like to see more fruity esters.
