I had this poured from draft into a gobblet style glass at the Yard House in San Diego, CA. It was refreshing, light, and crisp. It had a very light head with some basic retention. This beer that looks this light but had a nice big taste with light carbonation. Which in turn would make it very social. I have had it poured from a bottle into a pint glass once before at a tasting. I perfered the draft personally. But if you have the chance to try this rare beer take it.

Presentation: A Guest Beer on sale at the Brown Cow, Keighley during a recent Pub Crawl of said city with a few fellow BA’s and many friends. Six Handpumps had 4 regular Taylor’s brews but I opted for the first of two guest beers on the 5th Wicket - only Eastwood & Sanders could tempt me away from the excellent Timothy Taylors.

Dark black coffin shaped E&S Pumpclip had the words ‘Tremendous Delerium’ (each spelled with two –e’s I double checked) in a dark blue scary ghostly Halloween. Listed at 4.3%ABV, and allegedly brewed to mark (celebrate?) the final divorce papers coming through for a Keighley & Craven CAMRA Member!!

Appearance: Dark black body with a creamy brown head that had excellent retention. The conditioning is just perfect, a gentle tip of the glass after the first swig revealed a tan colored milky haze that quickly rose up and joined the underside of the creamy tight cap. Just about perfect.

Nose: Light nose, dark malts with a soft roasted nose and some hints of burnt toast. Firm, yet gentle in strength.

Taste: The texture makes such an impact on this one, but the gentle roasted malts take the first half and a balancing bitterness nicely wraps up the back end. The 4.3% is nicely handled. Reminded me more of a strong Dark Mild with a little more roasted malt and hops for good measure, hence the listing a Dark Mild Ale, its the closest I could come up with. Very tasty!

Mouthfeel: Silky smooth and creamy with a texture that could come from an Angram Handpump deep in the heart of Taylor’s land.

Drinkability: Utterly Effortless. It simply slipped down. Oh this was so damn drinkable, it’s why I lost the game of Pool in the back room of the Brown Cow - well that is my excuse and I’m sticking to it. Seriously quaffable stuff!

Overall: Another Winner in the long and ever growing list of Eastwood & Sanders creations, well from the latter half of the duo anyways.

Tremendous Delerium indeed.
