Tasted by half-pint at the Volunteer's Arms, GBBF 06.
A: dark yellow colour, great clarity, fluffy off-white beer head with some retention, low carbonation. Looking fresh and nice.
S: fragrant scent of flowers and honey abound~~ subtly sweet malts also at presence, but melted in the fragrant flow of hops. Nicely blended and pretty intense in terms of hoppyness.
T: just like the aroma, plenty of sweet juicy hops attack the tastebuds, while the semi-honeyish pale malts lubricate the palate underneath, and result in a vertical texture in the aftertaste, with flowery and slightly piney hops (reminiscent of US varieties, but I'm not sure) expanding everywhere on top of a malty backdrop. Chewy, tangy and bitter finish as a result of a good amount of hops used in this brew.
M&D: softly fizzy, fresh, medium-bodied for a 4%abv. bitter which literally dances on my tongue. A delicious, hoppy pale bitter--session-type for me~~
