2016 Vintage
Pours a clouded amber colored beer with a gigantic eggshell colored head.
The aromas in this consist of a herbaceous, floral interplay, topped off by a note of heavier, sweet chestnut honey, rosemary and fennel. It’s got a lighter horse blanket profile to it, together with a bit of leather and honey dipped cream cheese.
Mouthfeel on this is refreshing and light, showcasing a well developed, mineralic effervescence, which creates an utmost refreshing beer.
Tastes of dried apple peel, moldy basement, fresh fried mushrooms and a slightly dry, yet sweet and pleasantly spicy herb profile. Turns a little lighter then with its stony effervescence becoming more apparent, while it’s floral bouquet manages to cut through. Finishes with dandelions, bread dough and a dry hop covered tartness, entangled into oily honey and basement enriched mushrooms.
This is a well done, light bodied and easy drinking, yet complex Lambic with a slightly overbearing carbonation level.
