Appearance - Pours a hazy gold with three fingers of frothy white head.
Smell - citrus, earthy, leafy, and floral hops, stone fruits (peach, apricot), pineapple, citrus and orange peel, bready malts, and earthy yeast.
Taste - citrus, earthy, leafy, and floral hops upfront. The stone fruits (peach, apricot), pineapple, citrus and orange peel follow through next. The bready malts and earthy yeast round out the brew.
Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Finishes sticky with the hops, fruits, and citrus lingering.
Overall - A pleasant and highly sessionable APA that delivers on all fronts. It's really refreshing to see more craft breweries pop up in the Edmonton area and finding the offerings here in Cowtown. This is definitely a promising first offering from Polar Park Brewing. Look forward to sampling some more of their offerings as they come.
