This is not a review of this beer, but the OG "Worlds Fair Beer" AAL brewed circa 1982 for the fair by Great Lakes Brewing Company (not the current GL in Cleveland), Fort Wayne Indiana, at the Falstaff brewery.
!2oz can poured into 14oz teku. The seal on the can held up well, and snapped open crisply. The beer poured a dark brown color with 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and lacing.
A burst of rotten apples and vinegar hit the nose at the snap of the top. It didn't get better in the glass.
Not as bad on the tongue; just a hint of vinegar, but other wise bland and inoffensive.
The body was the expected light of the style, had good carb throughout, and a semi-dry finish.
Drinkability was a bit of a chore, due to the scent each time I raised the glass.
Overall, about as good as one could hope for a 38 year old mass-produced, cheap beer. Another tick down.
