On tap at the source. Deep copper color with a frothy off white head that shows great retention. Rich caramel and toffee maltiness with a bit of smoke and some earthy and fruity notes to round it all out. A hint too much smoke for my tastes, but a pretty good Scotch ale.

Poured from the tap. Deep brown color. Very little lacing on the glass. Really nice tobacco smell on this brew. The beer has a flavor remenissant of raisins and caramel. Very typical of how other scotch ales are flavored. The thing that made this brew so good was that it completely captured the flavor of other scotch ales but did so with an appropriate alcohol content. No booze taste at all. Very smooth. Really great beer overall.
