According to the breweries website this one was brewed with a bit of wheat in the grainbill for extra smoothness and hopped both in the kettle and dry with amarillo and the name giving mosaic. It is a special edition summer beer.
The label is in blue and purple and is ornamented with flowers (in the style of the famous dutch tiles and in the centre there is their brand ostrich. In their 0.33 bottle.
Quite murky orange body lots of slightly off-white head. Rather coarse bubbles nicely fueled by a steady coarse bubbling.
Aroma is a mixture of amarillo with its more resiny and vegetal hop aromas and mosaic leaning into mango and passion fruit. Orange.
Taste is passion fruit, some resin, bitterness is there and lingers gently, but it is quite easy also due to some balancing pale malt sweetness. Ever so gentle wheat tartness adds to freshness
Substantial body for such a low alcohol beer. Clearly the wheat and the unfiltered nature of this brew are responsible for the rounded soft mouthfeel.
Very well done American Pale Ale from the Netherlands.
