Keep beer alive. Leave fear behind with Joaquin Red. A malt forward session ale, deep red in color, the Red delivers a caramel and bready flavor with a medium-light mouthfeel. We hop this beer just enough to cover the sweetness, giving it a healthy bready aroma.

Clear red colored beer with a medium tan colored head.
Smells malty and a little soapy. Mildly sweet but that is about it.
Starts out sweet and malty with a mild bitterness in the finish. Little bit woody and grassy. What I would call a middle of the road ale.
Mouthfeel is OK.
Overall really easy to drink. Not complex but unchallenging and agreeable to the taste buds.

This red is an ambitious attempt to combine two styles and it almost succeeded. It has the carbonation of a Mexican lager with the body of a red ale. The blend is good but the aftertaste is boozy for only 5.2abv.
