Clean & dry interpretation of a Franco-Belgian amber ale. Nutty malt notes, spicy yeast esters, and a bready finish.

Very nice appearance to this beer in the glass -- a hazy, dark golden color though light on the froth (a fast-dissipating, half a finger head). And a great logo and label on the can. The aroma and mouthfeel are fair. Flavor is "okay" IMO.
Labeled as a "dry & toasty amber beer fermented with Belgian yeast." All accurate but it's dryness is on the soft side -- a little too soft for me personally -- with a decent aftertaste and a little bitterness but it's lacking a lasting flavor that keeps me excited about the next sip.

Bier de gârd poured from a growler fill at the brewery 2/8/20. First tried on tap at Blind Tiger mid 2019. Strong malt aroma with a copper tone and nice carbonation. Taste is completely different than aroma, a classic wild ale type barnyard funk. Similar to a good saisón , modest abv of 5.4%. Unique and delicious, I’m cellaring a well sealed 2nd growler until the summer.
