Poured from a pint can into a pint glass. Thin off white head over a reddish brown effervescent body of beer. Not much lacing occurs as the beer is consumed. Nice malty aroma on the nose. First sip is malt forward, with some hoppiness at the end to cleanse the palate, so good mouthfeel for this Brown Ale. Nod Hill brewery is 100% Solar powered, which is very cool, especially in the Northeast where the sun isn't out every day. The beer is named after Lake Zoar, a man made lake on the nearby Housatonic River. And Zoar is actually a biblical name - originally Zoara, a town on the Dead Sea.
