A delicious mild ale readily suited to drink in quantity. We get notes of caramel & chocolate along with some fruity esters. The finish is dry with a moderate bitterness that invites another taste.

A: The beer is dark brown in color. It poured with a quarter finger high light tan head that left a thin collar around the edge and some lacing down the sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of dark malts are present in the nose along with hints of fruity yeast.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional notes of nutty malts. There is a light amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is very easy to drink and is rather favorable. It is easy to drink and sessionable.

Picked up these 16 oz cans last weekend at the brewery. No date stamp. Beer has been in my cellar since I picked it up and I am pouring into my snifter. The beer pours a cola brown from the can and sits much darker in my glass with some deep garnet highlights and minimal light passing through. A dense yet fluffy khaki colored head foams up about 1 cm and fades to a sturdy surface layer.
The aroma is mild and features malt mix of caramel and light brown sugar. This is balanced by some light grassy hops and a bit of roasted malt too. Overall the nose is mild but fits the style
First sip reveals a light body and medium, fine carbonation. the texture is smooth and the beer drinks easy.
Flavor is caramel and a little toffee which moves to some roasted note and the roast lingers long after the swallow, but is also close to dark chocolate and no where near a char note. ABV is hidden as expected, and my glass is almost empty pretty quickly. This is a solid English mild that hits the right notes. Its nice to see a local-ish brewery making a style that isnt frequently brewed and do a pretty good job with it.
Glad I picked this one up.

Served from the can in a Jackie O's shaker pint glass.

Pours a clear midnight umber topped by a finger of tan foam. The nose comprises caramel, light cocoa powder, candied orange peel, and a touch of sarsparilla. The taste brings in more of the same, the soda of choice leaning more toward cola, and some nuts being added for good measure. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and nigh silky feel. Very nice, highly drinkable mild right here.

I’ve only had 1 English Dark Mild before, and even that was just part of a flight nearly a year ago. I remember being quite impressed by it, and looking around for the style afterwards. However, I had no luck and gave up. Suddenly, a few weeks ago I came across this one and remembered my search from last year. Let’s see if the wait for such a traditional style was worth it

Pours a deep chestnut with 2 fingers of creamy tan head that quickly fades to a thin cap and leaves minimal lacing

There’s not all that much going on in the nose here, but the subtlety is nice. I’m picking up on aromas of nutty malt, fresh baked bread, earthy hops, milk chocolate, light orange zest, and toast

Equally light in flavor, but that’s just a hallmark of the style I suppose. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting dark bread, earthy hops, light hazelnut, lemon zest, and a touch of toffee. The swallow brings notes of acidic coffee, dark bread, nutty malt, earthy hops, and toast

A light medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a surprisingly bright beer. Finishes neutral and balanced

This is awesome stuff, balanced as hell and drinks super easy. I could pound these all day
