Copenhagen 17/6 2020. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. Black and white geometric charts on the can with a strange pattern in red. Reminds me of a Joy Division record sleeve from the seventies.
Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Fairly stable. Settles as thin, almost transparent layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense with a light malty sweet odor soon overpowered by a strong citric smell. Sweet malts, peach and pineapple. Grape fruit and citrus in abundance.
Light carbonation. Medium thick, soft, smooth, almost flat texture.
Flavor is intense with a fairly strong sweetness followed and balanced by a strong citric bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter with a sweet undercurrent. Lingers for a while. Finish is bitter, dry and a bit boozy.
Potent and well-balanced DIPA with a fairly boozy streak despite the fairly modest ABV.
