Pours a hazy, pale orange coloration with a medium, fluffy head. Smells of light biscuity malt and citrus/berry/tropical notes of white grape, lime peel and guava. Taste is a great balance of light biscuity malt and fruity, juicy, slightly dank and herbal hops, with citrus, berry and lighter tropical notes of lime peel, white grape, gooseberry, guava and just a hint of herbal weed. Finishes with a light bitterness and some lime peel and white grape lingering in the aftertaste. Smooth mouthfeel with a medium body and carbonation.
There's not a lot of French craft beer washing up upon these shores, so I was quite curious to try this and it did not disappoint. Even though the mouthfeel could be more soft and pillowy, it's a very juicy and expressive brew that brings a great mix of quite zesty citrus and somewhat acidic berry notes to the table, with the Nelson Sauvin standing out particularly here, which I love.
