A blend of Bourbon and Islay Whiskey barrels (16 months) with cinnamon from Indonesia, cardamom from Guatemala and vanilla beans from Madagascar.

Deep brown colour, almost black. Very little head, tight and tan. Smells very peaty and a little spicy. Taste is even more peat and less spice. Too much peat for me, not enough of the cinnamon, cardommon and vanilla. I am very impressed with how well the Islay whiskey barrel comes through, though too much for my taste. Feel is nice and rich, though a tad too boozy for me. Overall disappointed, not going to try another adjuncted stout from them, only barrel aged.
