A Popihn imperial stout without barrel aging or adjuncts seems to be a rare thing. This one is still a heavy hitter though.
Green olive and stale ale on the nose. No head. Thick body.
Much of the flavour comes from the high alcohol content. The rest is dark malt, with just a hint of chocolat. Sweetness is limited though; as is any char or excessive bitterness.
This beer is relatively easy on the palate, despite its strength.
