On tap at Brixx into pint glass. Pours clear ruby red/brown color with a small light khaki head with spotty lacing and some streaming carbonation. Aromas of caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, dark bread/crust, herbal, grass, pine, light coffee/char/dark fruit. Taste of caramel, brown sugar, chocolate, dark bread/crust, herbal, grass, pine, light coffee/char/dark fruit. Medium pine, herbal, charred, woody bitter finish. Medium carb and body. Balanced creamy bready malts and sticky resinous hop mouthfeel. Lingering resin dryness with minimal hop astringency. A great American style brown on malt complexity and adequate hopping.
