44 cL can, cool rockabilly Fred Munster-ish character on a bike, riding through a cemetary graphic. Howl!
Really fine pour, here in Toulouse, France, into a proper pint glass, a fragrant foam rises up exact. Classic gold brew that would make Greg Koch smile.
Nose is an amazingly pungent and fresh whoosh of apricot, orange zest, grapefruit, papaya, pine, black pepper.
Taste hits with big notes of grapefruit, resin-y pine, a good floral note, and black tea. Lingering crispy finish, with a bitter burst and an alcohol rinse.
Mouth is medium, so is the carbonation.
Overall, France’s Hoppy Road has a good grasp of the American IPA formula, and this fine blend of Idaho 7, Columbus, and Azacca hops, plus high fermentation American yeast, produces a tasty West Coast Double IPA that any fan of the style would appreciate.
Yes. I’ll have another, please.
