33 cl can poured into a chalice, in Toulouse, France. Packed in May, 2023.
Small head on dense black brew, with mini retention.
Nose is dark chocolate, date, mild coffee, and a whiff of coconut.
Taste is of a comforting beer, nice velvety texture. Firm roast malt base brings flavors of chocolate and caramel that intertwine with a generous hit of coconut - real puree used, not syrup. Summit and Pacific Gem hops round out a nicely rounded taste experience.
Full smooth mouthfeel from the addition of flaked oats, low carbonation.
Overall, maybe lost a little from a year in the can, but a delicious liquid dessert sipper nonetheless.
