This struck me as a good classic American stout. Not too sweet or experimental. Not too roasted. Medium carbonation with a moderate to heavy consistency. Definitely doesn't have the big character and flavor profile as a lot of imperial stout but it isn't boozy or thin either.

Pours a dark cola brown color with a decent caramel head. Leaves lacing forever.
The aroma is more about dark fruits and subtle tartness than your typical chocolate/coffee stout. Figs, raisins, and booze lead the way, finished off by some vanilla.
The taste is surprisingly tart and fruity. Figs and black cherries, with some vanilla and molasses on the finish.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Alcohol is definitely present here, and the finish is quite dry. Would definitely prefer a more smooth body without the strong alcohol presence.
Overall, a pretty solid stout that dares to be different than the normal sweet stouts we often see. Still needs some work, but definitely a solid beer to be sure.
