Poured into a 13 oz Teku glass canned on 7/25/19. Pours a beautiful hazy yellow orange like a glass of pineapple orange with a half finger sticky white head that leaves thin wisps of lace as slowly settles. 4.75

Smell is a straight forward juice bomb guava, pineapple, tangerine, papaya, and maybe a hint of grapefruit rind. 4.75

Taste follows juicy guava, pineapple, papaya, tangerine, and very gentle and mild grapefruit. 4.75

Mouthfeel is bigger than average, a touch sticky but not dry, soft gentle carbonation, and at 7.2% drinks bigger in flavor but goes down insanely easy. 5

Overall this is awesome brewed with Galaxy, Citra, and oats what is not to love. These guys are dialed in. 4.75

Onsight pours a rich and thick, turbid, dark golden yellow with no lasting head, but some spotty lacing. The smell pungent notes of papaya and stone fruit along with grapefruit and some floral notes with an earth bite and hint of bitterness. it's fluffy and creamy across the palette with an up front hop bite that subsides to a fruity and sweet base with mango, grapefruit and stone fruit.

Onsight #5 was my favorite until I tried this one (courtesy of Jay at Oak Hill). A little less boozy than Flume and more subtle compared to #5. Solid offering and I hope it get a name and more batches.
These guys simply produce solid beers, can't go wrong with anything they craft.

A: Pours a super hazy yellow-orange color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a decent cap that leaves good lacing

S: Lots of citrus and tropical fruit with a touch of pine and bready malt. Very hop forward with the galaxy and citra

T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the citrus and tropical fruits and then goes into a mix of light pine and bready malt. Bitterness is moderate throughout. Finishes with lingering citrus and light pine

M: Medium bodied with moderate carbonation

O: A super drinkable IPA that is loaded with citra and galaxy hops. Quite balanced despite the heavy hopping. Definitely a must-try

From a 16oz can, dated 03/05/18, the citra and galaxy iteration. Served in a spiegelau-style IPA glass.

Pours a heavily hazed, semi-opaque, pale orange-grapegruity colour with a scant finger of loose, big-bubbled head. Retention isn't much to speak of and leaves a thin collar with a little thin lacing.

A nice bright citrusy nose of orange, grapefruit, lime and vanilla.

Taste pretty much accords with the nose, and then some. Sweet, floral, bitter and tart, all at once. Papaya and grapefruit, orange, lemon, nectarine, lime and kiwi, over a vanilla shortcake body. Juicy goodness with a tangy hop oil tingle.

Feel is juicy and brightly carbonated, medium-light bodied and exceptionally easy drinking.

I haven't always been the biggest Battery Steele fanboy but this is, without question and by a wide margin, the best IPA they've produced to date. Excellent.

A- Tallboy can pours into a small goblet with an extremely floury/cloudy pale yellow-orange body and a thick creamy white head. The cap has decent retention and ends up as a medium belt around the beer leaving spotty lace.

S- Extremely juicy fruits pop out of the glass with mango, papaya, peach, apricot and slight passionfruit as well as grapefruit, floral, herbal and orange citrus hop notes. All hops here.

T- Shifts a bit and loses some of the brightness and general tropical/stone fruit aspect and it shifts towards more citrus, floral and zesty hops. Mango, bubblegum, peach, apricot, papaya and grapefruit with lesser herbal, tangerine, earthy and pine hop hints. A light bit of sweetness as well as a touch of the new school hop extract/powder/oil burn.

MF- Fluffy and creamy medium body with fairly high carbonation. Ends with a light-medium citrus bitterness lingering.

A very bright and juicy aroma shifts into a more balanced and somewhat astringent but still rather good hop flavor.

Finally a new and interesting IPA from BS! And this is a whopper IMO.

Pours a pale yellow gold, opaque with a relatively small off white head that settles very quickly to a film. Not much lacing.

Aroma is just awesome - a true 5. Brilliant, pungent notes of papaya and nectarine and apricot with some sweetness to it to cut the sharpness.

Taste is just as strong with huge hop flavor up front that closely matches the aroma. There is a nice fruit-sweet malt base that is just the right mix, not too sweet. A tanginess kicks in midway through getting the tongue to buzz, then it finishes with pleasant papaya flavor with a mix of candied grapefruit.

Feel is very soft with the oats and there is a moderate amount of seltzer there. Bitterness is fairly low though there is a little buzz in the finish.

This is a fantastic candidate for the local expression of NEIPA spearheaded by Bissell, given them a run for the money. I would stand in Bissell size lines any day for this... too bad it is a rotating series and this recipe won't come back. I hope they are all super soft, super cloudy ones like this.

I got nothing bad to say about it except possibly the look with the weak head. pffft.
