Poured from a can into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a clear golden color with a small head of white foam. The head fades rather fast leaving a touch of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma is strong of a grainy smell mixed with notes of apple and apricot. Along with these smells comes a light level of caramel and notes of must and hay.
Taste – The taste starts with a grainy cracker malt flavor paired with a touch of caramel and some light notes of pear. As the taste advances, it dries out, all while the grain gets more intense. At the same time some of the hay and must that are in the nose come to the tongue, and with a light pepper flavor, one is left with a grainy and crisp taste to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel -The body of the brew is sharp and crisp with a more moderate carbonation level.
Overall – A pretty decent pilsner overall. Slightly drier and crisp. Makes for an easy sipper.

Can purchased at Fattey Beer Company in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a clear golden straw yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells pretty spicy, with no real malt character, and a much more heightened hop profile than I would have expected.
This is decent, but there’s a very bitter and spicy hop character on top of a fairly watery bland malt backbone. It comes across pretty unbalanced as a result.
This is light bodied, clean, and crisp, but not super drinkable.
Battery Steele is very adept at making IPAs, but this was semi-substandard.

From a 16 oz. can with no date showing. Sampled July 1, 2023.
The appearance is golden in color under a modest and quickly fading ivory fizzy head. Good clarity.
The aroma is bready, toasted biscuit, and herbal sensations like rosemary or sage.
Light mouthfeel. Crisp and clean.
The flavor is sweet, toasted, and bready with those same herbal elements around the backside. Mildly dry ending.

I am sampling a 16 oz can poured at cellar temp into my snifter. I picked up the beer at the brewery in October 2022 and it has been in my cellar since then. No date stamp on the can.
the beer pours a bright clear golden color and builds a bleached white frothy head of about 1.5 cm. This foam fades to a rocky surface covering and leaves some windowpane lattice as it recedes. Several active streams of carbonation rise to the surface of the glass.
Aroma is grainy malts and a little bit of white grape and a little grassy character.
I take the first sip and reveal a light body and fairly crisp texture with fine tingly carbonation.
Flavor is some grainy notes and a bit of bread with some sweet light fruit. This moves to a bitter dry finish of black tea spicy hops. The bitterness lingers for a bit after each swallow.
Pretty solid Pilsner with a good mix of flavors and very drinkable. I d pick up again.

I wanna love it but can only like it. Its lookin nice. Pretty minimal scent but came from a can so idk. Tasty and drinkable, but kinda on the bud side of lager vs warsteiner, but I guess it has the extra hop and pils toasty to it. Feels about right. Smoothish.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a very solid Bohemian pilsner. Really nice pilsner malts and noble hops.

Draft at the brewery
Big creamy fluffy head, good retention and great lacing, brilliantly clear, golden pilsner color
Nose nice grainy sweet pilsner malt, little straw, slight cereal, light herbal floral hop, touch fruity
Taste big pilsner cereal grain, grainy sweet and big German pilsner malt with no corn, then big fresh German noble hops, floral, a touch herbal grassy, mild bitterness up front with more spicy bitterness kicking in late, dry crisp lager finish, soft lager in the middle, juicy lager and pilsner malt, the hop bitterness kicks in nicely without sulfates
Mouth is medium to lighter bod but soft lager and crisp finish, medium carb
Overall this was a true solid German pilsner, very well done
