Ascent is a single IPA that packs a flavorful punch. It pours a hazy, deep orange with aromas of grapefruit and pine to evoke the spirit of summer. Hopped with Mosaic, Topaz and Simcoe, the first sips lend way to notes of peach, pineapple, lychee and citrus oils.

Pours a ruddy yellow with a bright white, thin head that maintains 'til the last drop.

Taste is strongly bitter, with some of the grapefruit coming though but overpowered in the end by the hoppiness that lingers long after the swallow. It's like I'm back in the IBU wars of 10 years ago. No date on the can so it's possibly a little old and the citrus and tropical flavours might have faded. Definitely worth a reassessment with a fresher sample.

Cheers

Pors a hazy dark orange with fine, soft head.

Smell is juicy and slightly sweet. Some oxidized tones, and notes of mango and passionfruit.

Taste is juicy with notes of mango, citrus and passionfruit, but I think there is some oxidization, with a slight licorice hints and a whiff of apple sauce. Not too bad though. Moderate bitterness.

Mouthfeel is medium, soft, pillowiy and well carbonated.

Overall, a nice beer, but probably not in the greatest shape.

[MPoured into a 16 oz Nordic pint glass canned on 3/2/20. Pours a very attractive hazy yellow with a 2 finger sticky white head that leaves a wall of lace with excellent retention. 4.5

Smell is tangerine, guava, pineapple, and apricot just strait up juicy. 4.5

Taste follows tangerine, pineapple, guava, and apricot really balanced and delicious. 4.5

Mouthfeel is above average, perfect gentle carbonation, a tad sticky but not dry, and 6.7% really crushable.4.75

Overall a friend gave me this and I knew nothing about it, might be the best beer of the weekend. Just a great NEIPA. 4.5

Pours gold color, cloudy with a one finger head. Aroma is tropical sweet and a touch earthy, moderately strong. Flavor is similar with a good, strong hop presence that is a bit sweet orange and the earth of Mosaic hops. They say it has pine notes but it is pretty limited and in the finish only. Feel is soft with light carbonation and very little bitterness. It is a fresh feeling beer, really and tastes great. This is a fantastic beer worth the try.

16oz can dated 10/5/19.

Pours cloudy yellow with an inch of white fluff. Decent retention and lacing. Peach and orange in the nose with a hint of pineapple. Light bodied with thinnish, watery mouthfeel. Grapefruit with peach fuzz on the palate with zero malt and a firm, drying bitterness. Finishes juicy and a bit pithy.
