Tap pour at the taproom. Served in a slim lager glass.
Clear pale amber colored body. One finger of white head. Leaves behind strings and webs of lacing.
Aroma is caramel malts, and faint earthy hops.
Taste is rich caramel malts, and some earthy hops with a touch of spiciness.
More than medium mouth feel. Low bitterness. Very good carbonation.
Deep and involved caramel fest beer.

Poured from a growler. Liquid gold in a glass. Very little aroma. I get graham crackers and a crisp, clean finish. A wonderful beer that rivals any other oktoberfest I have ever had. This brewery is a notch or two above the competition.

At the brewery, into a tall pokal like glass (kind of), looks a clear beautiful golden brown, with slight offwhite head. This is a festbier, I think, though maybe kind of in between...it definitely lacks the caramel maltiness that the other style often has, with a very strong and hearty breadiness, a little sweet rye and graham cracker (but not very sweet), and the yeast is really pronounced throughout and it lingers through the crisp and dry finish. Carb is middling to high; feel is substantial but not heavy...even light for the abv. tightly constructed and tasty.
