Was up in Tahoe at the end of September, pro tip, this is the season, school is back in session, but ski season hasn't started, had the beach to ourselves.
Gotta run some beers, this is in a location that had a previous brewery, all of this new brewery's stuff is superior to the old one thus far. Pours a nice golden yellow with ample clarity. Impressive. 3/4" white head, good retention. Its a beauty to look at. The aroma has a nice lager yeast profile, dry and smelly.
The taste imparts a nice golden wave of grain impact, pilsner malt in full effect. Light but appropriate hopping. Brisk, dry, light full flavored mouthfeel. I don't know how much I would say there was a citrus effect as the commercial tug job indicates, maybe a light grapefruit rind angle, but that is really just saying bitterness.
Its a good beer that has the best of both worlds, can appeal to casual drinkers but also old jaded lagerheads. Hot weather or first beer off the slopes, this one is worthy. Excited to keep having beers from this brewery, only downside it is in a very pricey corridor on the SLT strip. This is the first review of this beer on this Next Glass owned website.
