Copenhagen 12/8-2017, 75 cl bottle from Vin de Table, Frederikssundsvek, Kbh. NV. As Lug Bière Brune". Simple label stating the name and type of the beer together with a symbol signifying that the beer is made in accordance with Nature Progress’ principles.
Pours opaque dark brown with light beige head. Settles as very thin layer of patchy foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is strong and dark. Roasted malts, caramel, tobacco, leather and a hint of alcohol despite the modest ABV.
Soft carbonation and thick oily palate.
Flavor is quite sweet followed by light bitterness. Aftertaste is sweetish with bitter-sour notes and a touch of licorice.
Quite light Brune. A little thin in the flavor - but pleasant enough.

Porter with few roasted notes, then mostly cherries and other red fruits notes. The sweetness is a bit high for the style and this could be consider as a belgian dark ale but fits more of the porter characteristics. A bit out of balance
