A: Served a vertual opaque black color with a nice full head that fades slowly to good lacing.
S: Has a roasted coffe and milk chocolate aroma.
T: Seems to have a roasted coffee flavor with some chocolate and malt mixed in. Has a mild bitterness and a dry finish.
F: Not quite a full bodied brew. Creamy smooth but missing something to give it that wow factor.
D: Not bad for a couple, but doesn't pack the punch you wold expect from a stout.

I enjoyed picking up a growler on my way through Texas. It went well with my texmex food.
A- The growler just had a sticker on it with the name of the beer that came off easily. The beer looked dark with a nice head.
S- There was a potent smell of coffee and cream.
T- There is a definite coffee taste to this beer.
M- It is a dark and hoppie. Not as easy as I thought it would be to drink.
D- Not as easy to drink but it gets better after each glass you drink from the growler.

Nitro pour. showed up a rich, almost opaque near-black with a ruddy tan one-finger head that lasted forever. decent lacing at the top but trailed off down the glass.
aroma is mild but full of roasted notes, malty, a bit sweet. hints of vanilla and maybe a touch of butterscotchishness?
Taste follows aroma at first, with vanilla, caramel and dark roasted malt, followed by a whollop of bitter hops and coffee grounds with a definite coffee acidity. A bit unbalanced in every direction... not really 100% together and a bit confusing.
Mouthfeel is creamy, as expected from nitro, but a touch on the thin side to stand up to the acidic notes and rich dark sharpness.
All in all, a solid brew. I've had it a few times, and enjoyed it enough to order it again. Not a standout, but definitely one I wouldn't turn my back on... and one of the better options - especially stout-wise - in the el paso area.

Pure black with a nice lasting creamy dark brown nitro head. Strong roasty aroma and flavor with chocolate notes. Medium-full bodied, rich and creamy.
Solid !! One of the top 2 regular line-up beers along with the Andale IPA...
Per J's website: Black and full-bodied, our stout is nitrogen charged. Rich flavor dominated by roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Approximately 5.5% alcohol/ weight
