Had on tap at Fort Rock Brewing in Rancho Cordova, CA
Appearance - Served up in a standard pint, mostly clear and golden yellow in color with a thin, consistent layer of suds on the surface. Fair amount of lacing, mostly streaks an a few small spots.
Smell - Nice, natural grapefruit aroma. Slight floral notes.
Taste - Follows the nose. Lots of natural grapefruit flavors upfront and throughout. White grapefruit. Hint of floral character. Finishes much the same, with a mix of sweet, bitter and slightly floral grapefruit flavors.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with a good amount of tingly carbonation. Slick in texture with a crisp, clean finish.
Overall - Really nicely balanced grapefruit IPA that puts the emphasis on a beautiful, natural grapefruit presentation. For a grapefruit lover like myself, grapefruit beers dont get much better than this.
