Canned 10/09/19
Appearance - Pours with a slight haze and orange in color, with a thin, off-white head. Fair bit of sediment floating about. Sub-par retention on the head, settling to a thin, broken layer of suds. A few broken lines and small spots make up the lacing.
Smell - Tropical and fruity. Mango, guava and orange. Faint trace of dank.
Taste - A bit of mango and guava upfront, then some bready and slightly wet cardboard flavor hits mid-taste. Finish adds a bit of orange and pineapple zing.
Mouthfeel - Medium-bodied with low to fair carbonation. Drinks smooth, slightly slick, with an easy finish.
Overall - Just over 4 months of age, and it has not held up well. Most of the haze has gone, and the hops have definitely fallen off, along with a bit of oxidation having set in. Oh well. Lesson be, drink your hazies fresh! 3-6 weeks is optimal, IMO. One to try fresh if it's ever re-released, because it seems promising.
