A very satisfying Pilsener. To begin with, it's really pretty: the translucent yellow of Lemon Jolly Ranchers. Smell is slightly yeasty. Smooth from top to finish. We have yeast and ... pie crust (?) up front which literally rolls into very smooth, unobtrusive hops. No real aftertaste. Carbonation is pleasing, mouthfeel light. I noticed it got a bronze at the GABF '98...a bit surprising but not unwarranted.

Refreshing and simple, this local pilsner doesn't pretend to be the hoppiest, the baddest, or the most complicated of pilsners. As the name suggests, this beer is smooth -- and it does well at that job as a highly drinkable brew.
Fairly uninspired in some ways, it has a definite mild hop presence at the end that balances a similarly mild malt flavor. The highlight of this beer is its near picture perfect appearance, with a straw-golden hue and a fluffy, persistent white head.

A very nice, full flavored pils. The hops are not an afterthought and lend a touch of tartness on the palate. Very reminiscent of a European-style pils. Thirst quenching with taste.
