A: Pours a clear medium golden honey in color with heavy amounts of active visible carbonation rising quickly from the bottom of the glass and moderate burnt orange + copper colored highlights. The beer has a four finger tall cloudy foamy off-white head that slowly reduces to a medium to large sized patch of medium thick film surrounded by a large patch of very thin film covering the majority of the remainder of the surface of the beer (about 85%) and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit pith, herbal, and pine/resin hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of caramel + biscuit malts.
T: Upfront there are moderate flavors of caramel + biscuit malts with a light amount of caramel sweetness. That is followed by slightly stronger than moderate flavor of citrus/grapefruit pith, herbal, and pine/resin hops which contribute a slightly heavier than moderate amounts of lingering bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with heavy amounts of soft carbonation. Slightly creamy in the finish.
O: A typical old school West Coast IPA but flavor and aroma but this one is a bit over carbonated for my preference making it not as easy to drink (as some others in the style) and gives a huge head even when pouring carefully.
