22oz undated bottle purchased at the brewery poured into a chalice at fridge temp. No ABV listed on label. The beer pours mostly bright medium/dark amber with light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and island. Minimal lacing. The aroma is mild with sweet malt, raisin/prune and slight ethanol. The taste is semisweet malt with burnt sugar caramel, prune, raisin and earthy hops providing medium bitterness. The feel is medium bodied with just less that average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. The ABV is sensed, but not in a distracting way. Overall, nice domestic quad brewed on site at the convent in Ferdinand, IN.
