Canned in a big old tallboy crafty craft can and purchased from Sainsbury’s in Altrincham town centre.
Pours a slightly hazy golden body with bice white head
Aroma is candy cigarettes
Flavour is tapioca and hints of lime

a helles type lager here, even though they call it british. a funky little place they have here too, cool beers, mellow vibes, happening part of town. it was fun to post up with the boys here and drink through a bunch of their stuff. this is probably the lightest one they make, its pretty clean and crisp and drinkable, but its not at all devoid of character. yellow and clear in the glass, taller than an inch of white head, looks lively and bright. it smells and tastes bolder than it looks too, some english character to the grain is unexpected in a helles type, i guess thats where the british comes in, but its awesome with this bready lager yeast strain, and its still light, not toasted or rich or anything, just has more flavor than simple european pils malt, a nice little hometown touch to this. the hops are minimal and all at the end, the finish is dry, but this remains well balanced by the mineral profile and the unique grain element, sort of earthy and wet the whole way. good carbonation, basic but quality ferment, and overall a nice patio drinker that warrants just enough contemplation to stay engaging. cool glassware here too, fun spot, solid beers.
