Nice location in a fun neighborhood. Weird place. I get the impression that this place exists largely as a place for people to show off their dogs - the beer is definitely a secondary concern. I couldn't find the bathroom, and a nice man with a mastiff bigger than me showed me the way, so that was nice. But then he and the dog just sort of stood around the whole time I was there - neither of them seemed to be interested in beer. There are enough beer lovers who act like animals to have to be surrounded by actual animals while drinking beer. As a decent place to grab a local brew, Terrestrial is fine. As a place to show off your pug's new sweater, it's world class.

Loud warehouse with music and dogs afoot, a view of the lake from the end of the bar, or from the patio in warmer weather. Live edge bartop and backsplash, even the taster flight was made from live edge wood. Open space with room to spread out and live free with your fur babies, or cozy up to the bar. Maybe pick one or the other though, a dog next to us at the bar was freaked out and barking at everything.

Bartenders were super nice and did a great job. The beers were good, I liked the lager and IPA best. They had a randall behind the bar with some crazy concoction of hops, chipotle peppers, and pilsner. A taste was enough, the lingering pepper heat stays with you.

Overall it was a worthwhile experience, better than I expected from the reviews here. Nearby 78th Street art studios and Bent Crayon Records and some beer spots around the Gordon St. Arts District in Detroit-Shoreway.

The entrance basically brings you to the start of a self-guided brewery tour as you walk right past tanks and some table seating in order to come to the far end of the space and belly up to the tall bar. The bar is of moderate length with a slight curve to it. There's some patio seating and a rather large yard outside for the dogs to run around in, as long as the weather is cooperating. And, fair warning, there will always be plenty of dogs here. However, on the day that I went, there was a straight up doggy brunch event going on and they were just completely inundated by at least 100 dogs. It was kind of insane.

Anyway, they had a nice brunch menu and it seemed most patrons were here to enjoy that, the cocktails, the vendors, and the company of other dogs much moreso than the beer. It was also extremely loud indoors, so much so you couldn't even hear the train as it went by. I'm sure it's not like this every day, but being smack dab in the middle of a growing residential area, people (and their best friends) are going to treat it like a second home nonetheless.

What beer we had was serviceable, but there's plenty of room for improvement. The IPAs were more traditional, but not quite West Coast, and kind of forgettable. The sour was a straight up drink of Kool-Aid. But the stout was a winner--it was French toast inspired, nailing it pretty well, with a nice body.

The kind of place every good beer town needs. Pet friendly, lake views, community driven. The beer is good, but not remarkable. Gotta be one of the best places to enjoy a warm patio day, outside of downtown, that actually has decent beer.

It sucks if a train goes by because that can be a bit deafening. Otherwise the location is cool. Looks over the lake from this cool old building. Really nice patio and the bar is nice too. They do not have a great selection and I often go in and find they are out of things. But they do have a few beers that are really good. Not strong in the IPA space which is unfortunate for me.

Overall a pretty nice and relaxed place. Normally not too busy, but can be in the summer. Very friendly towards dogs. It has a good selection of their own beers with a few guest taps on.

I found this looking for Edgewater Beach park, in a neat neighborhood in Cleveland hard by the lake. Terrestrial's taproom is nice and airy, with the tanks right on view, plenty of seating, cool music and a patio with views of the lake. A great place to hang out if you are local.

Beer-wise they have 11 house taps and 2 guests (Burial + Founders). From Hazy IPA to Belgian Tripel and everything in between (Scotch, Pilsner, Stout, Witbier). Fanboi NEIPA was tasty, albeit basic.
