Beer #9 of the KALEA Canadian Beer Advent Calendar. Thanks Kevin and Nicole. Super Psyched this brew is included as it is from Wacken, Germany, home of the world's largest open air Metal festival. It'd be a dream to go one day and enjoy this brew at the festival, but in the meantime this must suffice. In mythology, Sleipnir is Odin's eight legged horse, so that's pretty bad-ass too. 330 ml bottle served at cellar temperature into a pint glass. Should probably crank some Amon Amarth for this brew. Best before 06.05.2020.

Appearance - Hazy rich golden straw color, a finger plus of white head and plenty of visible carbonation. Some spotty lacing left behind.

Smell - Quite fruity actually with suggestions of citrus, tangerine namely with some course bready aspect as well. Very interesting.

Taste - Clean and grainy with some assertive citrus hops (for a Helles). Not a lot else going on but very easy drinking and enjoyable.

Mouthfeel - Light-medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, nice tickling sensation on the tongue to close.

Overall - Sleipnir is one of the best Helles I've enjoyed in a long while, definitely need to drink this fresh from the village with a bunch of other metalheads. Stylistically, this seems more APA than Helles but it is delicious and well worth trying.
