Pours black with a brown eclipse into a tulip glass from a bottle. Head disappears very quickly leaving no lacing.
Aroma is dark chocolate and coffee espresso with notes of ash and leather.
Flavour is sweeter than it lets on with a definate coca cola influence on the sip. There's a sweet smoky chocolate flavour shortly after, with the coffee stepping in to seal the deal but it isn't strong as the aroma suggests. That ashen cola flavour persists into the aftertaste and lingers for a long while.
Feel is medium bodied with a watery finish. Carbonation is minimal.
Overall I'm not very enthusiastic about this. It isn't as full bodied as I'd like and it gets a little sickly sweet with that cola flavour. More a Dark Mild than a porter IMO.
