Today's forecast is definitely hazy. Regardless of how we would like it, Clouds brewers is out to ensure that its always hazy.
And with that foggy pour, the Twilight Vista version of their Forecast series celebrates the uniqueness of Elani and Vista hops with a drift of citrus, tropical and herbal aromas in a soft citronella perfume. As the ale crowns with a creamy white froth, the first sip introduces a pillowy malt creaminess with flavors of cereal, coconut, vanilla, shortcake and light cookie dough.
As the hops pull from the grain sweetness, they burst on the middle palate with branch ripe tangerine, mandarin and blood orange. Wrapped in a juiciness of mango, pineapple and honeydew, the fruitiness introduces more tropical flavors, nearly tangy in their taste, and more melon-like before attempting to dry. A late palate of fresh herb, soft grasses, balsa and peppery spruce balances the fruit and the drying malts for a drinkable, soft and soothing session.
Medium-full in body, the upfront creaminess is plump and juicy but its finish resides on the sweeter side of bitter-sweet but with a malty-dry sense of drinkability. An medium length aftertaste of fruit zest, lemon pepper and a hint of white wine continue to tease the tastebuds even late.
