If you claim that your favorite food is not biksemad, then you are simply an old liar. Everyone loves biksemad - no one loves quinoa salad. No one. Fact. Neither the micro-macro-food of the 70s nor Dan Jørgensen's questionable budget prioritization could change that.
We have therefore cooked up an accompaniment to such a bowlful of bikse, and it is of course an oatmeal stout with a little hops and lots of cocoa. It is called Oat Cuisine, it has just over 6 percent alcohol, and there is enough body that you can pour a ladleful of béarnaise over the bikse too.

Copenhagen 1/5 2017. 33 cl bottle from Kvickly, Østergade, Middelfart. Howling (and smoking) Sailor Monkey preparing an obscure dish on the label.
Pours opaque dark brown with bubbly beige head. Settles as thick creamy layer of foam. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is intense and fairly pleasant. Dark roasted malts, vanilla, bitter coffee, Tobacco and a whiff of alcohol.
Medium strong carbonation and medium thick palate.
Flavor is medium sweet followed by slightly stronger bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter coffee.
Surprisingly light and a little bit watery. But a nice stout.
