Dark red amber color with a finger of tan head. Decent lacing.
Sweet aroma of hibiscus, cherry and orange -- more sweet than citrusy. A little hint of muted peppery spice behind.
Smooth tasting. Very malt heavy, but without the same sweetness as the nose. A little orange character within the malt again. Very mild hop bitterness and slight peppery note on the backend. A little nuttiness shows as the pint goes on, but nothing too over the top.
Medium to heavy bodied with a creamy feel with light carbonation cutting through.
Pleasant change of pace from traditional West Coast or East Coast IPAs.
