Rectangular brick industrial building on the northwest side of town. Short straight bar opposite the entrance seats about 10 with table seating between the entrance and the bar and to the left of the bar. 16 beers on tap, nice variety of IPAs. Single cans available to go. Friendly service.

Loved this place from the beginning and it is only getting better, both in terms of the variety of the offerings - from supercharged barleywine to low ABV sessions beer - and the comfort/ambiance of the place. Great music (loud enuff to be heard, low enuff to be unobtrusive unless you want to listen), good variety of seating, free shuffle bowling & video games, and variable on-site food. Include friendly, knowledgable staff and craft brewing does not come much better. That said, I allowed a bit of room for improvement in my ratings only b/c perfection, they say, is unattainable!

This is my local brewery, and I felt it was necessary to update the info below since people were already having trouble finding them.
During covid they relocated their taproom to a larger space in the same mill building, and kept their original space for production only. It solves a lot of problems but also makes it a little trickier to find them.
As of this writing, they no longer have a front door on Wellington, despite there still being a sign there. Drive behind the building to the loading dock area and you'll see the sign for Buttonwoods. Unfortunately, it's not the taproom - it's the production facility. The taproom (Annex) is a door to the left of the door with the big sign over it. The door is usually open and there's a sandwich board sign marking the entrance.
The good news is the new room is much cooler in hot weather, without a wall of west facing windows. It even has some AC, and it's larger. I do miss the bar seating the old place had, but I don't think the room is really finished yet so maybe that will return. There is some outdoor seating on weekends but nothing spectacular; it's still a loading dock area near train tracks.
There are typically food trucks and pop up food vendors Thurs - Sun. Origin Beer Project shares brewing space with Buttonwoods. Origin is typically only selling on weekends, so check their social media first.
Buttonwoods typically has pretty good variety - maybe a few NEIPAs and DIPAs, a pilsner, a dark lager, a farmhouse saison or two, a stout, maybe a fruited sour. Definitely worth a stop.

Industrial vibe, in an old warehouse type building. Unfortunately, the afternoon we visited it was 95 degrees outside, and almost the same temperature inside despite some fans. The heat just brought out the smell of the brewhouse and the old building so it smelled like a sweaty nutsack in there. Therefore we only stayed for one round.
Decent selection of styles on tap, and the beers I tried were good though. So visit during cooler weather. Friendly brewery dog, and they had a food truck outside for food.

Took a little time finding this place, but once we found it, the old warehouse charm won us over. Cool open space with high ceilings, lots of lighting. Games, cornhole, etc. were available. Overall a decent vibe for a brewery. Quality of the service and the beers on tap were excellent, good service with a smile, not too busy and a generally friendly vibe from the staff. The dog was super friendly and we loved having him around. Beers were above average, though something different in SRM would have been nice- like a porter or stout to mix things up. That being said, cool space in a new up and coming brewery brewing quality beer is pretty much what I would sum this up as.

Saturday afternoon, first visit and taste. They've only been open a month. An old factory building, spiffed up quite nicely. A gorgeous sliced-tree bar, door-to-heaven lighting... very cool space. Cornhole of course. The brews tended toward well-brewed New England IPAs, the Spelt IPA was very good, unique for me. Liked the stout a lot. A pilsner and a coupla Saisons were amongst the 8-10 beers on the list.
Small operation apparently run by a very nice couple & their dog. With some help from their friends! Great friendly service, and fine beer. Pretty much what folks like me want.
My expert advice for this new brewery: Put a sandwich board on the sidewalk out front that says "BEER".
