Draft at PreFunk. Tart doppelbock. Interesting. Barrel aging adds another level of complexity. Dark brown with ring of head. Aroma us fruity and sweet, more doppelbock, some of the rum. Taste is tart, sweet, brown sugar. Booziness creeps in, without being that boozy.

On tap in an 8oz snifter at Bavarian Lodge in Lisle, IL. Pours a cloudy, rust color. Head disappears quickly; honestly, looked a little unappetizing. This was my first barrel-aged gose, but all I could taste was the gose. Tart, not overly sour. The rum/tequila notes were not pronounced. Drinks awfully smoothly for 8.5%. Could have downed it very quickly if I wasn't aware of the ABV.
