So hear is the deal, I have liked the tradition saison for their subtle complexity and beauty. This barrel destroyed most of that. SO MUCH Chardonay! Smell and taste are ruled by it. Some lemon, pear, apple, grass, grape, olive, and hay, but yeast and funk are MIA. Cumulative acidity in the feel really distracts. Love afterthought, but this one needs more balance

Bright pale gold, thin layer of foam that quickly fades without lacing.
Aroma is straight up fresh apple juice, cider apples. No funk or oak.
Tastes like green apples, apple cider, lightly tart malic acidity.
Light bodied with lower carbonation that ebbs away quickly.
Not really feeling this one, it’s a little too one dimensional.
